Where is the Vocational Nurse program offered?
The Vocational Nurse day and evening tracks are offered at the Houston campus. The program prepares graduates for professional licensure in Texas; Graduate America has not determined whether it meets other states’ licensure requirements.
How long are the day and evening tracks?
The day track is 50 weeks (about 12 months); the evening track is 90 weeks (21.5 months), including holidays and breaks. Both require all 1,664 clock hours: 635 lecture, 555 skills lab and 474 clinical. Evening study is not fully online: the catalog includes Saturday clinical and lab commitments.
What does NCLEX-PN preparation include?
The Houston day-track catalog lists a two-day NCLEX-PN review, an exit predictor test, remediation and NCLEX preparation technology. The evening track follows the same curriculum and clock-hour requirements. Completing training does not automatically confer a nursing license; examination and Texas Board of Nursing requirements still apply.
How much is tuition?
Day-track tuition is $25,500 and evening-track tuition is $28,500. Tuition is not the same as total cost: review the Houston catalog for supplies, textbooks and other applicable costs, and ask Financial Aid about your individual eligibility.
What should I check before applying?
Review the Houston catalog and program-specific admissions requirements, required documents, clinical eligibility and licensure disclosures. Ask Admissions to confirm the next available start and your track’s classroom, lab and clinical commitments before choosing a schedule.
Who approves the program?
The Houston Vocational Nurse program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and the Texas Workforce Commission. Institutional accreditation is separate from program approval; review the campus accreditation and approval disclosures for current records.
